Table lamp model Patroclo in glass and steel. The rounded glass diffuser is covered with a metal mesh. Glass dome base. Produced by Artemide c 1975. designed by Gae Aulenti. An encounter between glass and metal, transparency and the strength of matter. Its hand-blown glass body takes shape within an irregular rhomboid metal armor, crafted by welding heat-resistant steel wires. Like a precious cage, this structure captures light and transforms it, creating a fascinating interplay of reflections and shadows. Gaetana "Gae" Emilia Aulenti was an Italian architect and designer. Aulenti began her career in the early 1950s, establishing herself as one of the few prominent female architects in post war Italy. Famously known for designing Musee D’Orsay.
