Formanova italian dining chairs by gianni Moscatelli
Gianni Moscatelli dining chairs for Formanova, gray green cotton velvet and iron, Italy, 1968, set of four. These chairs represent timeless items designed by Gianni Moscatelli for Formanova in the 1960s. Its design features pure and functional lines, enhanced by some contrasting details such as the chromed-metal sleeves surrounding the lower part of the legs. Explicitly reminding the iconic Charlotte Perriand "LC7" for Cassina, these chairs feature a patinated iron four-leg structure. The genius of the designer is particularly visible in the two side connecting elements that link the bottom structure to the backseat. Recently reupholstered in gray green cotton velvet, the padded seating and back make this model comfortable and cozy. Gianni Moscatelli founded his own company Formanova in 1930 in Meda, the heart of Brianza.
