Fausto Melotti Italian Ceramic Dishes Rare

Fausto Melotti (Rovereto 1901 - Milan 1986) was an Italian sculptor, painter and musician. He was born in Rovereto when it belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and he attended the Royal Elizabethan School. At the outbreak of World War I, he moved to Florence, where he came into contact with avant-garde literati and artists and had the opportunity to closely observe the works of Florentine Renaissance artists such as Giotto, Simone Martini, Sandro Botticelli, Donatello and Michelangelo. After various musical studies, he decided to devote himself to sculpture. His style changes over the years, but he always follows his very personal research, aimed at articulating space according to rhythms with a musical flavor. Collection of decorative dishes in various colors of enameled ceramic, an object that Fausto Melotti produced in a great amount with always different and unique shades. We have of 4 of them as shown in photos. Sold as a group or individually. Excellent condition, completely original.
