Founded in the 1950s in Accolay, France, the Accolay studio became well known after it produced buttons for the collection of Christian Dior. Accolay is the name of a village located in the department of Yonne where a large community of ceramists has settled. Active from 1945 to 1983, their ceramics are characterized by a great technical inventiveness and an extremely abundant production.
