Arno Declercq Black Belgian Oak and Burned Steel Large Babel Vase

Arno Declercq’s works are monumental and ethno-graphic pieces of art. Objects with a strong identity influenced by his passion for brutalism and tribal art, each piece has a functionality . He sources his inspiration while traveling through Benin or Togo and translates his own view of primitive art into aesthetic objects of art. Vases turn into totems and candle holders into monumental sculptures, made in the finest tropical or european woods that he transforms in order to give them a singular and rich blackness. Shou Sugi Ban treated & waxed oak wood.

This new variation introduced in 2019 features a blackened steel portion. Each of these products are hand-made in Belgium. There may occur variations in color and finish due to the hand finished nature of these products.
